SEMI-PRIVATE VAN TOUR
If what you like is gastronomy, the good taste of the sea and the most exquisite wines on earth, this tour is ideal for learning about the traditions of an ancient culture through tasting the best Txakoli and the best pintxos on the coast. biscaina.
ITINERARY
We will start by visiting Bermeo, the most important fishing town on the Basque Coast of Vizcaya that was created in 1236. Also famous for its fish canning industry and for the port where they boast of having the best fish in the area. Here we will learn about history and tradition while enjoying a tasting of local cuisine.
Next we will admire one of the wonders of Bizkaia: San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. Not only the place where the seventh season of Game of Thrones was filmed (Dragon Rock), but also a sacred place with two thousand years of history.
Finally we will explore the world of a unique wine. Txakoli is the traditional wine of the Basque Country, made with native grapes, almost 97% of which are white. The classic style is a white wine with high acidity, pale yellow color, medium-low alcohol and aromas of citrus, fresh grass and white flowers. A light and lively wine, perfect as an aperitif. The identity and uniqueness of this wine is based, on the one hand, on its growing area close to the sea and the temperate Atlantic climate.
In this tailored experience, we will taste not only the white variety, but also the pink and red varieties, less known and more difficult to taste.
The Tour Includes: tasting of local products (food and drink), entrance to the Txakoli museum with 3 glasses of wine and cheese.
